OCTOBER 19, 2009: BOARD MEMBER RESIGNS Paul Young has resigned his post from the Board of Directors as he has sold his house, and is moving out of the neighborhood. The Board thanks Paul for his service. The Board will continue as a 4-person group for now, but may consider appointing a resident to the open post in the future.
OCTOBER 1, 2009: BOARD APPOINTS 5TH MEMBER
The Board of Directors appointed Karen Moody to the 5th open position on the Board of Directors. All positions are now filled.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2009: ELECTIONS COMPLETE
Thanks to all who came to last night's Annual Meeting where elections were held for 3 open positions for the Board of Directors. Unfortunately, there were only 2 nominees for the positions, so the Board still has an open seat. On the positive side, we had just enough attendees and proxies to declare a quorum, so the results of the election are valid. Congratulations to new Board Members Ryan Thaxton and Chuck Edwards! They join incumbents Scott Windish and Paul Young. The new Board will meet to determine positions amongst themselves, and consider appointing someone to the remaining open seat. Stay tuned.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2009: PROJECT UPDATE You may have noticed workers in the neighborhood cleaning and painting. This was part of an improvement package recently approved by the Board of Directors. The street entrance, arbors and brick features were pressure washed and repainted. The foam caps on the brick columns were replaced with a sturdier concrete cap. Brick, concrete steps and pavers identified at the time were repaired through-out the community. We also hired a lighting contractor to maintain the uplights and accent lighting. All lights are working. We have been receiving bids to begin painting the first phase of townhomes in the near future. And, last but not least, we are working with our landscape contractor to repair areas suffering from erosion and thinning grass.
