DECEMBER 2011: TRASH PICKUP HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Sanitation Solutions will be picking up on their normal schedule for the weeks of December 26-30 and January 2-6. There will be no change to pick up for the holidays.
They now pick up garbage and recycling on all major holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day; only when one of these holidays fall on a weekday will the schedule change. Any questions, please contact Sanitation Solutions at 770-886-7323.
DECEMBER 2011: NEW LANDSCAPE CONTRACT
The Board of Directors has contracted with Unlimited Landscaping to provide the landscape services for the community. They will begin working at the property on December 1, 2011 and we are excited to welcome them aboard!
NOVEMBER 2011: SPEED STUDY
Based on numerous complaints regarding speeding cars along Suwanee Avenue, the Board of Directors contacted the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation and ordered a speed study To qualify for speed humps, the average speed had to be at least 36 mph. Unfortunately, the speed study along Suwanee Avenue came in at 25 mph. Therefore, the County will not automatically install speed humps. However, the community does have the option of circulating a petition and getting 70% of the owners to approve the installation. If you are interested in volunteering to circulate and obtain the signatures required to proceed, please contact either the Board of Directors or the Association Manager.
MARCH 23, 2011: TOWNHOME DECK BEAMS
The Board of Directors met with the association Attorneys, Lazega & Johanson regarding the repairs to the rear deck beams that were not installed correctly by the developer Bowen Family Homes. Since Bowen is out of business and they were self insured, it was determined that each individual townhome owner is now responsible to have their rear deck beam inspected to make sure that it was installed correctly and if need to be repaired. An engineering report can be found under the Documents section. The Association is however taking on the responsibility of maintaining the Townhome decks, pressure washing & staining.
JANUARY 31, 2011: PET WASTE PROBLEM
It was brought to our attention that the neighborhood is littered with dog poop from owners who do not care enough to clean up after their dogs. Our pets are part of the family, but we have to make sure that we are thoughtful of our neighbors as far as pets are concerned. Please be considerate of your neighbors and mindful of health concerns related to animal waste, it is the owners reponsibility to remove any animal waste immediatly from streets and yards. Owners in violation will be fined.
JANUARY 27, 2011: NEW TERMITE COMPANY
We have negotiated a new Termite Protection contract with Team Pest USA for the Townhomes. With the additional savings from the new contract a Pest Control Service Contract was also added which include, ants, roaches, spiders etc. For any service, owners can call the Team Pest USA representative directly at 678 656 6143.
